Aside: I wrote this haiku after finding dandelions, the first wildflowers I’ve seen this spring. After writing, I discovered in Wikipedia that dandelions have “a fossil record that goes back to glacial and interglacial times in Europe”.

Delightful haiku of these ‘buttons of light’. A wild flower I’ve loved since young, even making up a name for them! Thank you for the fossil history snippet ..fascinating. Happy Weekend, Janice and hope many more wild flowers appear now as we head into middle of May! 😀🌺

Thank you, Annika. Soon there will be more kinds of wildflowers than I can count 🙂 A wonderful weekend to you too.
