A sequence of Tilus poems:
Life goes on, love prevails
as sunsets
end.
∼
Twilight mare gathering,
survival
flow.
∼
Majestic steeds steady,
unafraid,
strong.
∼
Community wisdom
in danger:
peace.

Jane Dougherty offers Franz Marc’s Little Blue Horses painting and proposes the Tilus for this week’s challenge. The Tilus is an interesting form with only 10 syllables (less than a 3-5-3 haiku) and content guidelines described in the link above.

Lovely set of poems, Janice. You capture the nervousness behind the herd’s tranquillity perfectly.

Lovely. I love how you describe the thinking/feeling of the horses–the individual and the group. It’s like a nature documentary on wild horses summarized in a few beautiful words. 🙂

Your analogy to a nature documentary adds a whole new twist. I can hear the voice over. :)) thanks Merril.
