I’ve always thought of it as a kindly entity and one that could look out for me, send good thoughts, etc. (this is my childhood idea that still is a little bit of an influence on me) but I also realize, it is not ever personally involved, always with that bit of remoteness.
I like the sense of detachment and timelessness here – the moon gazes on us, unbothered by literal or figurative thunder here on our world.

Thanks … despite folklore and sometime feelings of closeness to the moon, I generally tend to experience it as far beyond our world.
