Fortunately the outages we’ve had haven’t been too long…I was surprised how they affected me. I think I have more experience with summer outages when you don’t have the same weight of descending cold and darkness.
Fortunately it didn’t last too long. We don’t have a fireplace and the outage was at dusk so we had the experience of being swallowed up by darkness…my sense of adventure seems to have dimmed a bit I believe.
Power outages can be very disconcerting. 😦 Hopefully it didn’t last too long, Janice. We’ve had three this winter.

Yes, they do feel more scary in the winter.

Not good news.. Candles and open fires soon loose their romances.

It is weird when tbe power goes, particularly when it’s time to cook a meal!

Yes and that’s what happened this time…power out before our evening meal. Fortunately the darkness lasted only a few hours.

A haiku for the moment Janice, not the best in Winter.

Yes an outage in winter is bleak … though one advantage is that the timeframe for freezer food defrosting is lengthened.
