Our condominium fireplace makes those noises when the winds blow hard. Hope you stay safe and warm. Love the haiku and painting!

Thank you. It was a bit scary last night but thankfully the trees are still standing and only the clothesline snapped and a tarp took off.

Munch’s scream–what an image! I hope it wasn’t too bad. We had lots of wind, too, and there was a tornado across the river in the Philadelphia suburbs.

It was significant to hear and feel while lying in bed…the winds were forecasted to include gusts up to 100kph… what we actually got I don’t know but it felt ferocious. Fortunately no power outage here, all big trees near the house are still standing … predictably the clothesline snapped and a tarp held down by rocks got away but that is small-scale mischief.

Yikes! I’m glad you’re OK.

Yes, the recent storm was definitely a Munch scream. I think we got the tail-end of it. I hear Quebec was hard hit. 😦

Yes the most windstorm news seems to be coming from Quebec. I think there was also damage in parts of Ontario…power outages, trees down etc

Two very clever haiku Janice, I love both but the personal one is so full of experience. My wife has seen the real thing in Norway and was very impressed.
