   1. The clink could be any subtle sound, but the inspiration was the sound of a can opener touching a can…any can…it could be for cat, human or dog. All our pets are hyper sensitive to clinks and crinkle sounds which they hope will mean a treat.

      1. I understand, we have a long list of such stimuli. I was also thinking burglar at a window and a watch cat springs to action

2. Even in noisy houses, I’ve noticed our cat will sleep until there’s a soft clink—like the noise a mouse might make.
