Thank you, Denis. When I was writing, I sketched a picture of earth’s orbit in my notebook and then looked for a proper image online. The notes under the Wikipedia graphic say the ellipse is exaggerated somewhat…fine with me as I like how the overall slant of the image goes with the senryu.
