the light is amazing in those photos (K)

The luck of the draw…I wish the web and long thread could be seen…but of course they are meant to be invisible.

I often don’t see them until the light shines on them just the right way…and a photo never captures it.

I love the light in the first photo. The haiku is lovely in the way it observes the tiny details of life.

Thank you, Suzanne. I’ve seen spider webs before but never observed such a long thread…from which it was hanging roughly halfway along the line.

It would have been fascinating to see the spider make it!

Yes it would have been. I think it must be a kind of trapeze artist.

You must live in a beautiful place.

There is much beauty here even though there are areas north of here, higher in the watershed that are more lush. I’m finding it somewhat amusing (or ironic) that I wrote a haiku about a spider the other day and now I am plagued with spider bites… certain bugs are flourishing right now.

I love the way you connect the two haiku together Janice and how amazing to catch that thread in the image. That is one strong web line.

Thank you Denis. I am so glad you can see that almost invisible thread. In the sunlight at a certain angle I could also see the geometric net hanging about midway.

In our Tropical Rainforests we have bird catching spiders who spin webs like that. Did you see the spider?

Those must be big spiders! I didn’t see the spider, just a couple of bugs caught in the web.
