When I first saw the tops bitten off the one inch shoots I wondered if that was the end but now some frayed leaves are about 4 inches long. There are more fresh ones bitten near the ground so the suspense continues 🙂
Maybe it’s just me but I find this interesting – a slow motion fight for survival. I hope you’ll let us know, for some reason this poem really touched me.
Yes, a struggle on a slower time scale…hard to absorb in a way. I imagine as the tulips and daffodils progress to flowers (fingers crossed) and there are some sunny days for photos etc I’ll write more…and knowing your interest will add extra inspiration.
Another expression of hope! Chewed or not, hope grows.
