Thank you, Claudia. I am not sure gulls need an ocean…I too have shared a vague questioning when I have seen them because they are called ‘seagulls’ in regular speech. Around here they have Lake Ontario nearby. I think too they may be fans of urban areas where there are garbage cans.

Gulls that don’t need the sea seem to go with some kind of squalor. Trashy. The crow is a touch of clarity.
