winter solstice: haiku

darkness lingers

I fold into the shadows

an owl of night

days dwindle

words heard long ago kindle

a path through the night

winter solstice

we catch the sun

in a butterfly net

  1. Thought I visited… anyway;
    I like the photo and your verse. I like belonging to night light, moon and star as well as the sun.
    It was warm enough and I was well enough to take a walk around the block!
    The sun you sent – shone!
