Snapshots of happy moments
gathered like pearls
Hearts and minds
craving perfect pictures
while all that is clouded and changing
re-balances perpetually
like Einstein’s bicycle in motion.
consciousness blooms
equanimity dissolves
pleasure fades to dis-ease
each moment a potential medicine
to cure what came before

In response to dVerse Poetics Tuesday—Medicine, I spun out these thoughts. The reference to Einstein’s bicycle comes from a quote posted by Kim in her Monday quadrille prompt:
Albert Einstein said: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
Nice last two lines: “each moment a potential medicine
to cure what came before” It gets me feeling we spend our present and future fixing the past.

I love the recycling of the Einstein quote, Janice! I also love the idea of those ‘Snapshots of happy moments…
each moment a potential medicine’,

Sometimes when the noise of the inner or outer world become too noisy and puts one off balance, creating dis-ease, one forgets that each moment has the potential to alter the cycle and calm the sea within. Love this piece, Janice. ❤

I like how you discuss the ever-changing readjustments we make with the allusion to Einstein’s bicycle. And the wordplay of “dis-ease” with the lines before and then the medicine. The last two lines are thought-provoking.
