Today I offer more haiku/tanka reflections inspired by verses of 13th century poet, Jalaluddin Rumi, as curated by Chevrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai:
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.© Rumi
My responses:
at rest
bathed in lidded light
consciousness awakes
~
thoughts whisper
solutions hover
in morning breeze
~
at daybreak
awareness dawns
in realm of
peaceful consciousness…
the door is always there
