sip blue curaçao
gaze at aquamarine
night eyes
while humming “Am I blue?”,
In early summer
lounge under azure sky,
lean
to wild indigo sea
inhaling
lavender and wisteria,
singing your rhapsody
in sweet minor key.

In response to DVerse Tuesday….Lillian invited us to write a poem of any form including the name of our birthstone.
I love the blue without the blues… so many good things are blue

It’s silly perhaps but I had to ask as I have encountered so many Virgos in my life…and notable Libras :))

Oh my! This is stunning! What a beautiful poem for me to begin my Wednesday with…so glad you posted to the prompt! I LOVE that you have immersed yourself in everything sapphire — going deeper and deeper into the beauty of blue…and even the blue curaco which is so appropriate for enjoying the dVerse pub! 🙂

Thanks Lillian 🙂 I don’t usually go for blue drinks (though curaçao is an irresistible word) but maybe I should adopt one for my Sapphire birthday month 🙂

With aquamarine it seems that shades of blue are everywhere. Nice poem.

I love these instructions for entering a sapphire. Great hook of an opening line and the rest of the poem follows through on the promise of the title. Nice!
