Through my kitchen window

Morning mist

may lift after cups of tea

    the view is dense

Hydro truck

Yellow bird

  lights up my window

    her tail bounces

My kitchen sink is under the window, allowing me to gaze out as I clean up.  Suzanne’s post: ‘Flowers by the road’ reminded me this morning was eventful.

  1. You really capture the immediacy of early morning in the average kitchen here. I enjoyed your haiku a great deal. They make me feel like I need another cup of tea before I venture out into the Saturday morning traffic. 🙂 Thanks for linking to On the Road.

  2. That comment might have come out wrong. I didn’t mean to imply that you or your kitchen are average. What I meant was your experience tallies with the experience of many of us looking out from our kitchen windows.
