Shadows mist my path
under moon-pierced thunder clouds
my headlights are faint
on this dark forsaken road
where ruts rise up to meet me.

Brilliant! I burst out laughing at the last line. Life can be very bumpy sometimes. The last couple of weeks felt like a particularly tricky bit of road to me.

Thanks Suzanne…I had to reread to remember but I think I know why you chuckled (the twist on the blessing that with no prethought came out and I let it stay :))
