Lavender blossoms of spring
perched on slender scapes
lift my spirits
savory aroma of onion
turns rabbit noses to sweeter fare
behind the garden fence

Each chive blossom is a cluster of 10 to 30 star-shaped florets. A couple of florets are visible in this close-up:

Janice, I love these “Lavender – lilac blossoms of spring” too. So bright and weaving softly.
To add to it the leaves are so tasty and good to cook with.

How pretty! I’ve never actually seen them growing. I love chives.

That first photo is amazing. You have so many blooming edibles. My mother use to grow those in her garden. Such a tasty delight to accentuate meals. ❤

Thanks Denis. I planted the seeds about six years ago and they seem to get more beautiful every year ( of course we had a lot of rain this spring 🙂
