I look and tremble.
When I look away,
it still remains,
an enormous
catastrophe
thriving on
numb complacency
imprisoned wallets
free market mantras
fumes of exhaustion–
we forget who we really are
who we can become.

There is a glorious sense of foreboding in that photo. Beautiful skyscape, great darkness, nice choice.

Thanks 🙂 I felt the tug in the photo. We could say ‘Aw lovely sunset’ or see the pollution in progress.

I know: it’s so interesting. Monet led us to the colors and now we know what some of those colors actually mean: the art of contrast.

The lack of will and overall complacency is a shocking fact that allows that scene to continue, tied to ‘imprisoned wallets’ and “blind eye” mentality of too many. Wonderful photo of a sad state of affairs.
