What kind of supermoon did you see on Monday night? At first I saw only sprays of light from behind dark clouds. Finally, after midnight, the moon emerged. The vision I had was disconcerting:

Wow, I can feel your discomfort. Thick cloud cover meant we saw nothing for that night or a couple thereafter…grrr.

Cloud cover seems to often happen for supermoons here too. This time the moon was framed giving the frightening 3D effect I tried to portray.

Too much cloud cover here to see anything but, my nine year old grand daughter who comes here every day after school told me it was scary. It reminded her of Halloween. :o)

I asked her that and she told me the moon was so big and there were some clouds floating by that looked like ghost’s. Imagination is wonderful, isn’t it. :o)

I only saw the moon for a brief while too. Here the clouds parted to reveal a huge hazy moon just on dusk. The clouds around it were wispy grey and soft gold green. It was astonishingly beautiful. I have seen the moon as disconcerting though sometimes too.

I realised that sounded weird when I wrote it – I meant that strange greenish, golden look clouds can get sometimes as the dusk fades. 🙂

Yikes–that’s a nightmare vision! I couldn’t see the moon Monday night because it was too cloudy. I saw it early in the morning of that day when it was so bright I could see it through the bathroom shade.
