Last shred of power

In response to Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge #122: power & race. Being a Canadian, seeing this prompt I thought “I think I’ll hibernate and wait for the results”. However I couldn’t look away. My thoughts are with you my southern friends.
Hopefully a bigger turn out than your ballot box suggests. Hard to look away from here too…

Janice, well written and following today with anxiety and trepidation. Such an important day…across the globe.

I am glad I didn’t have to exercise a right to vote. Just like here in the UK the Political system seems so far away from reality of real people. We will all see tomorrow morning who wins but I fear it will not be an end and just a beginning of more turmoil.

I agree there is more turmoil to come. Western democracies need major overhauls…at least Canada and US do and I don’t doubt your report about the UK.
