Royal
leaf promenade—
summer is gone, but fall
painted boughs and rolled out a red
carpet.

This is a happier scene from my visit to Toronto earlier this week. My poem is a cinquain with the following syllable counts for each line: 2-4-6-8-2.

Yes it has exploded… by the highway the orange and red trees were amazing yesterday.

Hi Janice! I had never heard of this type of poem before but this is a lovely Cinquain. The picture is beautiful. I grew up in New York and I always miss it in the fall because of the beautiful red leaves.
