In my last post I offered a sequence of lantern poems inspired by trees near where I live. Here is another sequence of lanterns with ‘words’ as the theme:
Words
linger,
ruffle shame,
attach to doubts,
cling.
∼
Word
bubbles
float away,
Transitory
thoughts.
∼
Words
express,
stretch to touch
hearts that do not
speak.
∼
Words
transform,
motivate,
feeding flames of
hope.
∼
A lantern poem has five lines using the following syllable counts: 1-2-3-4-1.

Very nice. I like the word bubbles that float away. 🙂

That’s a very interesting format for a poem – the layout suits the content.

That would be a wee bit of an exaggeration 🙂
