Roadway Rock Cuts–(Extra)ordinary ?

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “(Extra)ordinary.” : ‘Mundane and meaningful objects. Beautiful everyday things. This week, surprise us with something or someone (extra)ordinary.’

When I was a child I was in awe of towering roadway rock cuts. Now, the glow has dimmed, but has not totally extinguished.  I’ve seen many rock cuts, some, over and over as I travel on familiar highways and back roads.  I stopped on a local county road to photograph rock cuts today. Taller cliffs with gleaming colours might be more exciting, but I’ll let you decide.  Are these rock cuts beautiful and ordinary, extraordinary, mundane, or…?
