Moth on Window
Parchment heart wings lift
Lanky legs clutch screen, ready
To stay ’til darkness.
And the moth did stay until evening, but now it’s dark, he is gone–perhaps to dance in the light. Regular readers of my blog might be interested to know that for the next two weeks I will be participating in WordPress’ Writing 201 course focussing on poetry. The first assignment is haiku, slightly familiar territory (thanks to Ronovan’s Haiku Challenge). How many other assignments I will publish, or when, is yet to be seen. I will be continuing with regular posts as well.
Wonderful imagery in this haiku Janice, almost feel the moth’s anticipation

I like the description of the moth’s determination to stay on the screen.

They do seem to stay forever in one spot 😊 even with a camera looming overhead.

Janice, we think alike. We both used images to write our poems.
Yours is fantastic and so is the haiku.
Glad our paths crossed!
