In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Inspiration.”
This week, the Photo Challenge is to show with one or more photos:”What is your inspiration? What moves you? What is it that never fails to motivate you, to get you going, or make you happy?” For me, a major inspiration is getting out into fresh air. If I am feeling blah or muddled, getting outside–maybe to garden in the summer, or to shovel snow in the winter, is the best solution. I like hiking so I was going to look for some pictures taken on a nature trail.
Then I sat down with my computer next to the back window and saw the evening sky–post rainfall and prior to forecasted thunderstorms. Right away I grabbed my iPhone and went out onto the deck to take some pictures–I’ve learned that the sky changes quickly. Then I started to jot down some descriptive words and ended up being absorbed for the next while composing two poems: a haiku and tanka.
Fantastic photos and your poems add another layer.

It’s funny that a little old mosquito can always change a moment of inspiration into one of intimidation. Oh well. Thanks for sharing your inspiring art work. Enjoy the weekend. 🙂

Hi! Ha ha, but on a more serious note… Nature is inspiring, intimidating and more. The Creepy challenge touched on this when some of us admitted that things we find awesome to look at closely can also make us shudder.
